Welcome to Dahlgren Field Grade Colonials

The Field Grade Colonials Community is one of six in Dahlgren, Virginia.  Located on the scenic Potomac River, these two-story homes are available for O4-O5 members.  All homes feature fireplaces, and basements and most have hardwood floors.  Renovation is currently underway to install stainless steel appliances, central heating and air, ceramic tile, granite countertops and upgraded light fixtures to all homes.  The Field Grade Community is pet-friendly with a two-pet maximum.  Amenities include playgrounds, basketball courts, walking trails, picnic areas, an aquatics center and a multi-purpose recreation and youth center.

Other on-base facilities include a movie theater, a bowling alley, library, an exchange and commissary.  Fredericksburg is only 30 minutes from base, and offers ample shopping, recreation and dining opportunities.

The renowned Dahlgren School (Pre-K-8th Grade) which is located on base is the only DoD Navy school in the country. To take advantage of this opportunity all students must reside on the installation in Lincoln Military Housing. King George Middle School, and King George High School are located only a short distance from the installation, and the Mary Washington Hospital is a 30-minute drive from base.
