On-Base Housing at Fallon

Located in western Nevada, 70 miles east of Reno, the landscape of Naval Air Station (NAS) Fallon consists mainly of farmland with vast expanses of desert alkali flats punctuated by dramatic mountain ranges. The climate is typically warm during the summers, with temperatures in the high 90s, and cold during winter, with temperatures averaging in the 30s.

Liberty Military Housing offers 219 homes within three communities serving the Naval Air Station at Fallon. Outdoor Adventures & Big City Getaways

Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the wide array of activities available in the area, including many nearby lakes and reservoirs, like Pyramid Lake and Lake Tahoe. Enjoy easy access to fishing, boating, snow skiing, waterskiing, and golf. In addition, a series of shallow lakes attract an impressively diverse population of migratory birds, including tundra swans, geese, American white pelicans, and bald eagles, with marsh birds and shorebirds best enjoyed at the Stillwater National Wildlife Refuge.

Known as “The Biggest Little City in the World,” Reno is only an hour's drive from Fallon and offers numerous entertainment opportunities. The city hosts famous festivals such as Artown – a month-long celebration of visual arts and the Great Reno Balloon Race. Other attractions include ample shopping, dining, and live entertainment.
